Last week I did a T.V. interview with Metro East Media which has a subscriber base of 500,000 people, and to say I was nervous would be an understatement. The day of the interview I woke up at 5am with a small panic attack. Then while reheating a cup of coffee I hit 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds and received a pretty serious lip burn. Later, while shaving, I cut myself and by the time I got the bleeding under control my bathroom resembled a crime scene. I had to leave the house with 4 Band-Aids on my face (yes, really 4). Later at the interview I couldn’t remember any jokes. I imagine a 75-year-old mortician would have been funnier than I was. I’m not saying the interview didn’t go well, but I think I put the interviewer to sleep. Somewhere about half way through I swear she nodded off for about 5-6 seconds though she denied it later. It wasn’t a total loss; after the interview I was approached by the producer and offered an acting role in a commercial. I asked what kind of acting I would need to do. He said none, you’re perfect as you are. Apparently I am now the spokesperson for Sleep-Eaze a new sleep-aid drug soon to hit the market.
