Greg- Unsupervised
I recently had a medical emergency and what followed was an ambulance ride, CAT scan, MRI and many other tests and I have no memory of any of it. Eight hours later, the Doctor determined I had Trans Global Amnesia which lasts 12-24 hours with no lasting effects and its symptoms are similar to Alzheimer’s, In my case I lost all my short term memory. After making a full recovery, I was released and my family took my awkward situation and made me feel comfortable. My kids did this by staging our house with 3 x 5 cards taped everywhere, the first on the front door said Dad, this is your home, another on the microwave said Dad, you cook burritos in this. There was even one on the bathroom door explaining in way to much detail what this room is used for. My wife got in on the fun too and put a note in the kitchen which said, “You do all the cooking and cleaning in here”. Amused at her efforts I added a note to the bedroom door reminding me what I like to do in there and how often. Later that day I noticed the notes in the kitchen and bedroom were gone. I’ll just assume my wife regained her memory.
