When it comes time for the photo shoot of your home for marketing it is extremely important that this gets done right. If your realtor shows up with one of those disposable cameras you might want to immediately reconsider your current relationship with them. If it has a sticker on it that says, “Meyers wedding” you’ll know they just stole it off the table of the last wedding they were at and it’s at this point you should be really worried. Many brokers these days hire professional photographers, others have opted to buy quality cameras more than capable of taking fantastic pictures. Quality photos should be on the top of the list to get buyers excited about your home. This reminds me about a listing I received and what should not be in a photo. I received a call to list a client’s rental property in Eastern Oregon. The seller sent me the pictures of the home and garden area where 32 Marijuana plants were mixed in with the tomato plants. I did not notice the marijuana plants in the photo and I published them with the listing. About 2 weeks in I received a call from the seller. The police department had just busted his tenant for 32 marijuana plants they had growing at the property. A local police officer was home shopping and saw the pictures in the listing, resulting in the tenant having some tough explaining to do.
