In Real estate your resume is one of your best marketing tools, especially when you want to highlight your skills and experience. As a real estate professional, your resume should at least have the following: Superior negotiating skills, Excellent Communications, Effective marketing techniques and knowledge of Real estate laws and contracts. In addition you need to be trustworthy, resourceful and have a great network. I also know getting a sale is contingent upon my attitude, not the attitude of my client. My resume now would be quite a bit different than the one I had 30 years ago. If I wrote one today it would go something like this: You can still reach me at the office any time after 4am, the coffee will be on and ready, I’ll typically want to talk about all the grand kids before we get down to business. If you want to see me in a tie it will probably have to be at your funeral. If you show up any time after 5 at my office I will have a least 3 different beers to choose from along with pop and water ready at all times. If I determine you’re a difficult client I will gladly refer you to another local Real estate agent I don’t care for. I’ll leave you with this final thought: If you don’t own a home, buy one. If you own a home, buy another one. If you own two homes, buy a third. And, lend your relatives the money to buy a home. They’re going to ask you for money anyway may as well feel good about where it’s going.
