Some web sites posting Real estate Information are amazing. They do everything they can to sell their product. You can find schools, shopping, parks, crime rates, active homes for sale & your homes approximate value. I saw a site the other day that had local Marijuana dispensaries, liquor stores and bars located in your area. What I found most interesting is when they tell you what your home is worth. It’s a tool just like anything else but when you really want to know there is no substitute for a Realtor. Here is an example of why you need a Realtor. I received a call from a past client who said he has this place he wants to sell. They thought the 20ac and house is worth about $ 450,000 according to a popular web site. So I drove out there and determined the value to be near $ 400,000 which I found from recent sales in the area. This was not the first time these sites were a couple thousand off from Reality. What you need to understand is these sites want you to come back. I’ve never met one person that said Zillow thinks my home has a value at least $ 50,000 under what they thought it was worth. I think those Real-estate sites are like a magical place, you go there to get good feelings and to be happy. I’m pretty sure you can go to a local dispensary and actually get something real for your money to make you happy. Pretty sure you’ll be smiling also.
