In Real estate 97% of my clients are happy, friendly and polite, (Pretty sure they watched Mr. Rodgers growing up). And then there’s the other 3%. To be in the 3% club is easy! You need to be an expert on everything and then you need to make sure everyone around you knows it. There are other rules such as never using words like please and thank you. It’s also critical that you get all your advice on real estate from everybody besides the realtor you hired. Approved sources for information include people you just met and any local gas station attendant. When I have the pleasure of working with a client like this I came up with a plan. I send them a few episodes of Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood with a note saying please review and get back to me. It sounds crazy that this would even work but it really does! Just yesterday when I called someone in the 3% club, he answered the phone by saying, Hi Greg, it’s a great day in the neighborhood. After smiling to myself I said you know working with you always makes each day a special day, there’s only one person in the whole world that’s like you, and that’s you. The solution to most of life’s problems can be answered with 5 simple words…What would Mr. Rodgers do. I thought of getting a patent for “What would Mr. Rodgers do” but his legal team sent me a nice certified letter strongly recommending I don’t. So much for my latest million dollar idea, good news for you is that it looks like I’ll have to keep my day job as a Realtor.
