Women clients and Male Realtors can cause problems at home.

Married couples in Oregon make up the largest share of buyers (66%) and single women about 17%. In my business it was closer to 28% single women. As far as couples go I’ve found the decision maker is almost always the woman. I have on average 4 times the contact from the wife as I do their husbands in most of my transactions and my wife was quick to notice that fact. When my wife saw 4 texts came in, all from different women she quietly walks over and sits right next to me, real close, and asks: “if I was to pass on would you get married again? It took me about 1 second to get that deer in the headlights look since I knew this was not going to be a conversation I wanted to be in, I said I probably would. But she didn’t stop there, she just kept throwing question after question at me.  Then she asked me do you think you would get married quickly? I said no, not right away. Do you think she would use my car? I said maybe. After a dozen or so questions I was done with this interrogation so when she asked do you think she would live in our house, I simply said no, she thinks it’s too small. It was at this point in the conversation I knew she no longer appreciated my sense of humor.  On a side note, I had my first night stay at the Best Western in Sandy. Nice clean rooms and a continental breakfast.
