History: A century old Farm House in Boring which was an old slaughter house, no other history known. The painters had first contact, the elderly man walked up from the basement then he turned and walked back down. They immediately went to the basement only to discover no one there. The plumber was next, as he was replacing a sink and he saw the old man come up the stairs then turn and go back down. Not knowing about the stories he thought nothing of it. It was only later he heard about the “old man in the house”. The worst haunting was on the electrician just after he replaced a light. The old man came up the steps reached up and turned off the light, and then he walked back downstairs without saying a word. The electrician being puzzled about his actions followed him down the stairs into the basement just far enough to see that he had disappeared into thin air. He said there were no windows or doors and nothing was in the basement. He left and never returned to complete the job. As realtors we know how to deal with these situations which is once again why you should never attempt to buy a home without us. For example: In this situation I would have introduced this “old man” to my grandmother. I love her but she’s old, crotchety and never stops bitching about everything. And she never shuts up. I think it would take less than 2 days for this old man to disappear for good. Never underestimate the power of a Bitchy old broad and the skills of a licensed Realtor.
